Job Description

The Overhead and Rates Analyst focuses on all facets of functional department costs, with recurring exposure to department managers, directors and VPs. The OB&R Analyst gains a firm understanding of overhead rates, forward pricing and budget development. You must also have proven experience with the preparation and submittal of cost accounting changes to the Government, and sending Cost impact statements to the government.  (These requirements are a must).
Overhead Budget development, tracking & reporting Lead the development of Forward Pricing Rates and support of all required audits Indirect rate analysis, expense reporting, and government reporting. Headcount/labor base forecasting, tracking & reporting Financial reporting and analysis (monthly actual vs. budget variance analysis), forecast recommendations and identification of potential risks and opportunities Support of indirect projects/functional department requirements, including budget department spending reports with analysis, and recommendations to ensure achievement of performance objectives Assist labor bid rate proposal development, rate modeling/what-if submissions, pool structures, operations utilization targets, fringe and facility pools analysis, allocation submissions, Cost Accounting changes, cost impact analysis and disclosure statement revisions Participate in expense control and cash flow drivers, understanding of delegation of authority and authorized approvers Labor utilization analysis and reporting 10.  Analyzes existing rates, regulations, and proposed or approved changes in rates.
11.  Analyzes proposals and applications for changes in rates, and newly approved rate changes to determine required changes in company's rate structure. Prepares revised rate schedules or submits data for publication.
12.  Work is performed with considerable independent judgment, and general direction
13.  Position requires a four-year degree in Accounting or Finance - Accounting degree preferred.
