  Our client, a leader in the production of specialty chemicals and coatings used in the Die Cast industry, is seeking a Business Development Director for its Die Cast business.  This position is located in the Great Lakes region.    The Business Development Director (Die Cast) will identify and develop business opportunities on a global basis for new and existing products.  The Business Development Director will also evaluate opportunities to assure fit with strategic marketing, sales and financial goals and objectives.   The Business Development Director will also work closely with Marketing Managers, Sales Managers, and Technology Management to manage the development of new products and applications, and their commercialization.   This highly visible position is ideal for an aggressive, goal-oriented executive, withknowledge of Die Casting and the Die Cast industry, who is seeking an opportunity to have a significant impact on the success of a growing and influential specialty chemicals & coatings company.   This position is located in the Great Lakes region.   RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Manage the Die Cast product line, maintaining the company’s competitive advantage and leading the development of innovative new technologies and products. Develop and implement a successful global business strategy for the Die Cast product line. Develop, implement and manage the process for evaluating new product and technology ideas.  Lead selection of promising ideas for development and possible commercialization. Spearhead market research programs to continuously improve the understanding of customer needs, as well as market and technology trends. Work with Technology Management to prioritize product and technology development projects, as well as needs for customer technical support. Assure that new product development projects meet company objectives and requirements for market share growth, profitability and return on investment (ROI). Work closely with technical development teams and marketing teams globally to foster cooperation and shared development of key new polyurethane products and technologies. Work closely with sales management and technical service in the Americas, Europe, and Asia/ Pacific regions to grow sales, market share and profitability.
