This advertisement is for a career service position located at Central Office in the Office of External Affairs in Tallahassee, Florida.

Salary Rate: $45,000.02

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a highly professional position that serves as Programming Analyst on the Department’s web team. It is located in the Office of External Affairs within the Office of Communications and reports directly to the Web Content Manager. The duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes, designs, develops, maintains, and enhances web pages.
  • Writes and creates program documentation for application systems and programs.
  • Ability to fulfill website ticket requests to completion.
  • Develop data processing skills continually using available reference resources and training classes.
  • Provides support as needed for the posting of information on the Department’s public website and other internal and external sites, confirm interface transmittal and provide support as needed.
  • Program website content as well as website changes and upgrades.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to supervise technical personnel.
  • Ability to construct basic web page/site via HTML, CSS, WordPress, and/or CMS (Content Management Systems)
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Knowledge of recognized industry-wide web development software/programs.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of computer programming and systems design.
  • Knowledge of computer flowcharting techniques.
  • Knowledge of computer operations, procedures, and systems.
  • Knowledge of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) software/program.
  • Knowledge of recognized industry-wide web development languages.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret computer program data.
  • Ability to identify and define user task needs.
  • Ability to prepare program specifications documentation.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An Associate’s degree preferred, equivalent years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Must possess experience with web development and design.
  • Must possess knowledge of recognized industry-wide web development software/programs.
