The RTI University Collaboration Office seeks a prospect for the Full Stack Programmer Internship in the Business Vertical Software Development Team within the Global Technology Solutions (GTS) business unit.
This internship is a contract position. The employment contract is administered by HR Directions, RTI’s supplemental staffing partner.
The GTS Business Vertical Software Development Team writes software solutions for the Social, Statistical, & Environmental Sciences research unit and the GTS business unit.
The Full Stack Programmer Intern will focus on computer programming in languages such as Golang, HTML, CSS and JavaScript supporting the GTS Software Development team. The intern will have exposure to a team working with emerging technologies and will have the opportunity to learn more about software development.
Responsibilities
Write software programs for data analytics group and GTS infrastructure group
Work in the Azure Cloud computing infrastructure, utilizing Microsoft’s latest programming technology
Support team on ad-hoc projects and initiatives
Participate in team meetings and discussions

Additional Information
This virtual paid internship will take place from June 2022 through August 2022. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Student pursuing an associate or bachelor degree in Computer Science or closely related field
Relevant coursework in computer science with basic knowledge of software programming (i.e. arrays, objects, data structures)
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new technological concepts
Team player, but with the ability to work independently, while aligning work with other team members
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience in computer programming
Demonstrated passion for the field of information technology
Interest in new and state-of-the-art technologies.
