Job Description

Coordinate the flow of materials, general stock, and equipment in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements as well as Veranova policies. Responsible for execution of all material control activities for the North Andover site and provide support at the Devens site as needed. Monitor and update material control and inventory systems. Maintain storage conditions for hazardous and non-hazardous materials at all Veranova sites.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute periodic physical inventories at Devens and North Andover to ensure accurate storage conditions and order inventory as needed.
  • Ensure all materials are stored in the appropriate area and are maintained in compliance with quality and safety standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and in compliance with federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Setup, update, and monitor inventory management systems, and other material control, inventory, and management systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data and assist Finance/Accounting, Purchasing, Quality units, safety, and other JM staff in obtaining reports.
  • Reviews and resolves inventory discrepancies and ensures variances are resolved.
  • Ensure orders and deliveries of raw materials/ finished goods are accurately and promptly reconciled.
  • Order, schedule, and provide oversight for stocking, distribution, and documentation of chemical, non-chemical, and safety stock.
  • In conjunction with Material Control Supervisor, ensure that all priorities are met for the handling and distribution of all materials, per the direction of SOPs.
  • Ensure that all shipments are processed within the required timelines and in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. This includes domestic and international shipments.
  • Manage Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Controlled Substance), shipping, receiving and inventory.
  • Ensure that all storage condition alarms are answered, and action is taken to avoid any deviations.
  • Assist with shipping of hazardous waste and ensure compliance for hazardous waste storage areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Essential
  • High School Diploma with 4-6 years’ experience with hazardous material handling and shipping both domestic & international, within a pharmaceutical or chemical environment.
  • Experience in a production environment in a pharmaceutical or chemical industry Working knowledge of electronic material control systems as well as related financial and purchasing software packages.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate attention-to-detail, problem solving, continuous improvement, and ability to multi-task
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Prior Fork lift certification
  • DOT/IATA training in packaging, labeling, and shipment of hazardous materials, both domestic and international.
  • Good understanding of GMPs and FDA regulations
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
