Job Summary:

The CHVAC Americas Senior IT Program Manager directly supports the implementation of strategic technology initiatives and transformational programs across the SBU. This role will partner with SBU leadership, senior functional leaders, and other key stakeholders to successfully define, plan, and implement large scale projects/programs. Additionally, they may oversee a portfolio of projects and provide support to project managers. This senior role is in support of the CHVAC Americas IT PMO. Responsibilities include prioritization, definition, planning, scoping, coordination and the final implementation of specific projects and programs. The Senior IT Program Manager will work within the company’s standard Project Management Methodology.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating large scale projects and/or programs from inception to completion
  • Responsible and accountable to ensure project scope, timeline and budget are adequately validated and managed for assigned projects
  • Ensures partnership with solution architecture, business analysts and business stakeholders to guarantee impeccable quality and user experience
  • Coach and support project managers through all project phases from project initiation to stabilization
  • Ensures adherence to project management standards, tools, and routines including but not limited to:
  • Structuring of programs and projects
  • Resourcing/forecasting
  • Governance and control
  • Project planning and reporting
  • Risk and issue mitigation
  • Business benefit realization
  • Coordination of internal readiness assessment reviews with internal audit
  • Validates proper risk disciplines are in place to deliver the best outcomes for our customers, clients, and shareholders
  • Ability to mobilize team to govern program work streams to achieve all milestones and deliverables on target
  • Escalates issues and risks that are beyond his/her control to sponsors and leadership
  • Drives consensus and resolves conflicts quickly
  • Ability to facilitate productive meetings at the senior leadership level
  • Develops, socializes, and communicates detailed project plans with project team and stakeholders
  • Manage and implement program changes and interventions as needed to achieve program deliverables and business outcomes; ensure the business case is fully delivered as planned
  • Mentor junior team members and facilitate a working environment conducive to maintaining a healthy work-life balance
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, MIS or equivalent
  • 8 plus years as a senior project manager in IT/financial services
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Positive track record of delivering large scale complex programs/projects & initiatives
  • Expert in MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Qualifications desired:
  • MBA
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Management consulting background in IT
  • PMP Certification
  • Agile Experience and/or certification
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques
  • Collaborative, team player with the ability to connect across groups with proven ability to influence key stakeholders
Base Compensation Range is $86,000 to $179,000
